Why you should leave out the color in your bath products?

Today I want to talk about going natural – without the synthetic color. If you venture to your bath, body and beauty cabinet and take a look at some of your bath and body products, you may notice a hint of color. I bet that you are just like me and really never thought much about this before!!! Well, you will after reading this post. We do NOT add any artificial colors to any of our products and there is a REALLY good reason for this. So, let’s talk about color! First of all, if you take a look at a product label and notice FD&C or D&C - these letters represent artificial colors. F - Represents food and D&C represent drug and cosmetics. These letters precede a color and number for example: D&C Red 27 or FD&C blue 1. Did you know that these synthetic colors are derived from petroleum or coal tar sources? Synthetic colors are suspected to be a human carcinogen, a skin irritant and are linked to ADHD in children. (*Source: Huffington Post) The European Classification and Labeling considers it a human carcinogen and the European Union has banned the use of these all together. So ... now that you know this opt for bath & body products that are clear, pure and natural. Be educated and make well informed decisions for you and your family members.
