Let's talk about Phthalates ....

Many of you have heard the term Phthalate Free but, what does this really mean? What in the world is a Phthalate and why do we have to be so concerned about it? First of all, let me start by stating that you do not have to be concerned when you use any of our Kogi Naturals products. All of our product lines are 100% Phthalate Free. So what is a phthalate?

Phthalates are a combination of chemicals used to preserve color and scents in makeup. Phthalates are endocrine disruptors that have been linked to cancer, sperm damage and reproductive problems. Be informed, if you like synthetic scents ... that can be okay. But, you should always look for a scented bath, body and beauty product that is phthalate free. If it does not say phthalate free, I would stay away from it - but, that is just my personal opinion. And as far as color is concerned, if you have read my previous posts about the dangers in color ... steer clear of this as well. Instead opt for a product that is natural, organic and toxin-free, small changes yield big impacts. GO NATURAL!
